Until the age of 10, she moved from place to place very frequently. After that, her family settled in Diamond Bar, California. Now, Chung considers Diamond Bar to be her hometown.

Both of her parents graduated with a master’s and doctorate degree from UCLA and Claremont Graduate School in Applied Linguistics and Economics.

Given her upbringing in a Japanese and Korean household, Charlet can fluently speak in both languages including English.

She enrolled at the University of California, San Diego, in order to pursue a career as a news anchor. However, Charlet later changed her mind and decided to pursue an acting career. In 2006, she got her first job as the character of Barbie Yen on CBS’s Cold Case.

Chung was only 5 years old when she was discovered for the first time by an agent on an airplane.

Charlet is very well-known in the gaming industry for her vocal contribution to the character of D.Va in Overwatch and Seraph in Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
